Let me explain how

Health is not a quick fix, it is about whole-body nourishment. My one-to-one consultation programmes are based on a 3-month time frame. This gives us the opportunity to understand your health fully, to address any underlying imbalances, and to make long-term sustainable healthy living a reality.

I recognise that everyone’s journey is different, and, for this reason, I offer 3 levels of support:

What women say about me

"When you make space in your body and mind, it opens up a gateway for other things, and a few months later I became pregnant. To anyone thinking of working with Liz - Oh my goodness - do it! Do it now. Have no fear. Just jump in with 2 feet. You won’t be disappointed."

Frequently asked questions

  • Do I need to sign up for a package or can I just book a couple of appointments?
It takes 90 days to make a healthy sperm and a healthy egg and, to do this, we need to consider the health of your whole body (not just your reproductive system!). We simply can't do this in just one or two appointments. I'm not just concerned with you getting pregnant, rather, it’s my duty to ensure that you stay pregnant and that you're in optimum health to birth a happy and healthy baby into the world. Furthermore, you have invested so much into creating your family, you deserve to enjoy the journey, which is only made possible with good health, balanced hormones and vibrant energy.
  • I know the problem is just with me, why do we both have to see you?
You may have already been diagnosed with a condition you know Is affecting your fertility. Often, the other partner is then forgotten about, but there may well be something that has been overlooked. The presence of disorders in both the man and the woman has been reported in around 40% of Infertile couples (NICE, 2018). It takes 2 to tango and it takes approximately 3 months for a follicle to mature into a healthy egg, and approximately the same amount of time to produce new healthy sperm. This programme Is designed to involve both partners to give you the best chance of a successful outcome. I would be doing you an injustice, therefore, If I didn’t.
  • Why do we need regular check-ins?
Weeks can easily fly by and, before we know it, we’re a month into our plan and few changes have been made. By meeting with me virtually every week or every fortnight, we are holding each other accountable, showing up and taking action. You are investing a lot of time and energy into this exchange, I want to ensure you get the very best out of your investment.
  • I work really long hours, what if I can’t get to the appointment?
I can be flexible. Where geographically possible, I prefer to see you in person for the first consultation but, thereafter, I’m happy to see you via Zoom. I offer consultations on Saturdays plus a couple of evenings per month for those who need this flexibility. Preparing for a baby includes creating space for that little person. This is the first step to doing that.
  • It's a lot of money to pay up front, can I pay by installments?
For those that really need It, I can offer you to pay 50% of your investment at the time of booking, and the remaining balance will be due 4 weeks later. Please discuss this with me during your discovery call.
  • What if I get a successful pregnancy during the 3 months I’m working with you?
It’s not just about getting pregnant. We want to work on optimal health, not just the statistical outcomes. Preconception is the most impactful time when it comes to ‘epigenetics’ – it is the blueprint for the health outcomes of our future generation. But the work doesn't stop here! Your support, therefore, will continue into your early pregnancy (or as long as you’d like it go thereafter).
  • Can holistic preconceptual care really affect our fertility outcomes?
Our fertility is a clear reflection of our health and wellbeing – when we are at our peak health, we are also our most fertile. Simple diet and lifestyle changes can have significant impact on fertility outcomes. A study of 367 couples was carried out over 2 years with a history of infertility and miscarriages. Following careful preconception care there were no miscarriages, and 89% of those couples gave birth to healthy babies. I reiterate that this is NOT just about getting pregnant, it’s about ensuring you get the best outcome from that pregnancy. (Foresight Study, 2010).
  • Will I get my money’s worth? - I already know how to eat healthily.
Great! Then you are already part way along your journey and, together, we can focus on the ‘nitty gritty’ – we can focus our time on getting to the root of any imbalances. There is always plenty of room for improvement – bringing in nutrient dense foods and nutraceuticals that are very specific to fertility in general and, essentially, to meet your personalised needs, which we’ll discover as we work together. It’s not just about what we eat, but more importantly – how well we absorb the nutrients from our diet. This involves looking at the ways in which we eat and combine foods, but also identifying possibly barriers (i.e. gut/ genetics) to absorption. Furthermore, my packages are inclusive of so much more than just nutrition. We take a holistic approach to your life, health and fertility. You are in safe and caring hands.

Still undecided?

Well, here’s some food for your thoughts…

The cost of private fertility treatment costs around £5000, plus additional costs for medicines, consultations and testing. Although NICE recommends up to 3 cycles, few local NHS services are able to offer more than one nowadays. Furthermore, the success of any assisted fertility treatment is largely influenced by the characteristics and lifestyle of the individual who is having that treatment (NICE, 2013).

As a society we don’t invest in health. Two thirds of our population may be considered 'unhealthy' - that is - obese or have an underlying health issue (Martin, IHCAN, 2011). Yet we spend £2,000 on an average family holiday, up to £1,000 on an annual gym membership, £400 on our TV subscription, £1300 per household on clothes per annum, £660 on alcohol, £3,000 on restaurants and hotels… yet only £350 on health (ONS, 2020). We invest in the things that are important to us and the things that make us feel good. You have to decide if this investment is right for you.
